Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Kawenge Health Services (“KHS”) online platform (“the Platform”). By creating an account or booking a consultation you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
The Platform is available only to patients physically located in Papua New Guinea. In-person mobile clinic consultations (K90 adult, K70 child) are further limited to Port Moresby (National Capital District), which we verify at the time of booking through your device location.
2. Nature of the service
KHS provides telehealth and in-person primary medical care. Telehealth is not suitable for medical emergencies. In an emergency, please call your nearest hospital or emergency service immediately.
3. Registration
You must create an account with a valid Gmail address or another verified email, provide accurate bio-data, and a valid PNG National ID or passport before booking. Falsifying your identity or location is a breach of these Terms and may be reported under the PNG Cybercrime Code Act 2016.
4. Fees and payment
- Telehealth consultation only — K50.
- Telehealth + in-person (adult, Port Moresby) — K90.
- Telehealth + in-person (child, Port Moresby) — K70.
- The K90 / K70 online fee does NOT include treatment, medications, laboratory or radiology tests, medical referral report fees or logistics. Those are charged separately after the in-person consultation.
- Payment is by card or by mobile/internet bank transfer. Bank-transfer receipts must be uploaded and are subject to admin approval before the appointment is confirmed.
- Invoices are issued to your account and emailed from accounts@kawengehealth.com.
5. Insurance
Kawenge Health Services is not currently affiliated with any insurance provider in PNG. Patients proceed with self-payment until further notice.
6. Medical records and consent
By using the Platform you consent to KHS storing your medical data in confidence and using it solely for the delivery of your care. You retain autonomy over that data (see the Privacy Policy and Patient Confidentiality Agreement).
7. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel a booking up to 2 hours before the appointment for a full refund. No-show or late cancellations are non-refundable. Where KHS is unable to deliver the consultation, a full refund is issued.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Platform (including scraping, sharing your account, uploading malicious content, or impersonating other people). Violations may result in immediate suspension.
9. Limitation of liability
The Platform is provided on a best-effort basis. KHS is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from Platform downtime or third-party network failure. This clause does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under PNG law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Papua New Guinea and the exclusive jurisdiction of the PNG courts.
